THE FUTURE OF ELECTRIC CARS

There was a time when no one could see a single electric car on the road, that was the age of IC engines. The noisy vehicles and their tailpipes throwing harmful pollutants were of no concern to anyone then. But now things have changed and with the threat of global warming looming large over our heads and rapidly depleting oil reserves, the necessity to find another alternative fuel for these vehicles brought us back to the electric vehicles which were earlier stopped from being manufactured.

So what is this electric Car and why does it matter so much now?

Unlike the Modern Vehicles which runs on I.C engines which consume fossil fuel, these vehicles do not run on fossil fuel, instead, they run on electric motors which may be between the front wheel or rare wheel and they do not have that harmful tailpipe emission also. And this makes these vehicles ideal alternative to I.C engines which are available as of now.A company like Tesla Motors delivered to its customers the first Legal electric car in the year 2008, it was named the Tesla Roadster which used lithium-ion battery cells and started the electric car revolution. Many companies like Nissan with its Nissan Leaf, Renault with its Renault Zoe, BMW with its Active-E, Mahindra with its Mahindra e2o and many others started its production of electric cars.

As of now, the cost of electric cars are higher as compared to conventional I.C engines due to the cost of its battery packs but the battery prices will come down in the future and it will bring down the cost of the electric car further.Currently, the most talked about car is the Tesla model 3 which was unveiled on March 31, 2016.So let's hope that the electric car become much affordable in the future and there will be an alternative to the noisy vehicles on roads and pollution coming out of it.
