The tech giant Google has launched its new smart speakers in India recently and its keeping no stones unturned to reach out to the masses.The Company has reached out the online e-commerce company Flipkart to exclusively sell its product.However, it is also available in some selected stores in India.It's not the first company to sell smart speakers in India. Previously it was done by Amazon which launched its own smart speaker Amazon Echo a month ago.So, after a month of Echo's launch in the Indian market, there is some competition from none other than Google.The company has launched its two products which are Google home and Google home mini.Let explore these devices by listing all the details about it we know so far:

 Google Home:

 Google home is a smart speaker which is powered by the Google Assistant and a user can use it using voice command.All you need to do is to utter "Hey Google" to wake it up and it will start listening to your commands.The Google Home is cylindrical in shape and the top portion is a touch surface from where you can turn up the volume by swiping it clockwise and anticlockwise.Long pressing the touch surface triggers the Google assistant and tap once to play and pause a music.   • Supported Audio Formats: HE-AAC, LC-AAC+, MP3, Vorbis, WAV (LPCM), FLAC with support for high-resolution streams.

  • The Audio is supported by High-excursion speaker with 2" driver and dual 2" passive radiators and it has dual microphones.
  • It contains one DC power jack.
  • Supported operating systems are Android and iOS.

The device set up is simple and up to six users can link there accounts with the Google Home.However, any voice similar to your voice can activate the google assistant in your Google home. The Google Home can be plugged into a wall socket through a cable provided with it and then download the Google Home app from the Google play store or apple store and follow the instructions.The price of Google Home is Rs. 9,999.

Google home mini is the mini version of the Google Home and it is also powered by Google Assistant.It is also cheaper than the Google Home and much more affordable than it bigger version.To increase and decrease the volume of the Google Home mini you have to tap the sides of the device(left and right ).And to mute the Google assistant you have to flip the switch off which is present near the power port. The tech specs of the Google mini are as follows:

  • Supported audio formats include HE-AAC, LC-AAC+, MP3, Vorbis, WAV (LPCM), FLAC.
  • Wireless support includes 802.11b/g/n/ac (2.4 GHz/5 GHz) Wi-Fi, Chromecast and Chromecast Audio built-in and Bluetooth 4.1 input support.
  • Speakers support 360 sound 40mm driver.
  • Power support is 5v,1.8A.
  • It contains one micro USB port.
The set up is similar to Google home and it can also be linked to maximum 6 user accounts.The price for Google Mini is Rs 4,449.
