One of my friends told me "The recently launched Redmi Note 5 pro is awesome".And this is the talk going around me in my office these days.I have heard my friends talking about it and its camera and its screen size. And this made me curious to know more about this smartphone and luckily I managed to get my hands on to it a few days ago.So lets first go with the details of the smartphone first.

The design of the smartphone is compact and though it feels a little bigger while holding it but a user will get used to it with time.Starting from the upper edge, the smartphone has an IR blaster on the top while on the right side of it is power and volume up and down button. The left edge of the phone has a hybrid SIM slot and by hybrid I mean only one SIM and a memory card can be used at a time or only two SIM can be used at a time. The lower edge of the smartphone consists of a 3.5mm jack and a micro USB port for charging and beside that is a mono speaker grill which is loud enough.

CAMERA PERFORMANCE:

The camera performance is the main focus of Xiaomi here as it has been in case of every Xiaomi smartphones till date and it does not let its fans down either. The Dual camera of the smartphone does well in the low light, at least it does well then its own distant relative  Xiaomi Mi A1which had a problem taking photos in the low light environment. The portrait shots are also great in low light as compared to Mi A1.
On the other hand, the front camera also performs well under low light and also it has a portrait mode or bokeh effect in it.That means you can take selfie portraits of yourselves. It has a soft selfie light for taking selfies.

PROS & CONS

First the Pros:
  • The phone has a good camera and its built quality is also good.
  • The screen size is pretty awesome and it's 18:9 display will be helpful for you particularly for mobile gamers.
  • The smartphone also runs on powerful Qualcomm 636 octa-core processor which is a first in any smartphone till now.
The Cons:
  • The smartphone is a bit taller than other smartphones and it becomes very difficult to carry it in your pockets.
  • The Camera is extremely vulnerable to scratches due to its back bulge but that can be taken care of.
The smartphone is a good catch if you want a selfie or camera-centric smartphone which can also perform other tasks very smoothly without any lags.It is also good for those who love bigger screens. And the main point is that it is a budget-oriented smartphone which is available for just Rupees 14,999.
